Incorporating a variety of practice opportunities to provide a comprehensive curriculum for bronchoscopic training

The BRONCH training system is being developed in collaboration with medical experts from around the world. The system incorporates a variety of practice opportunities providing a bronchoscopic training curriculum consisting of essential skill tasks and full clinical procedures of elective or emergency nature.

Essential Bronchoscopy Module
Designated basic skill tasks to optimize novice users’ learning curve while acquiring and integrating bronchoscopic capabilities such as scope control, 3D cognitive perception, detailed anatomical knowledge and safe and efficient performance.

Diagnostic Bronchoscopy Module
Patient cases requiring diagnostic bronchoscopies, including visual inspection and various methods for tissue sampling. Biopsy forceps, cytology brush, aspiration needle and bronchi alveolar lavage, can be utilized for different cases where endobronchial or transbronchial sample obtaining is required.
Patient’s condition throughout the procedure is monitored and maintained by the user, including: conscious sedation, topical anesthesia, vital signs, level of consciousness, and oxygen supplement. Reactive complications are to be avoided or solved upon occurrence.

Emergency Bronchoscopy Module
Identifying and solving emergency and ICU situations requiring bronchoscopic intervention such as foreign object aspiration, hemoptysis or mucus plugs. The user can utilize tools such as grasping forceps, balloon, electrocautery probes and more.
Patient’s condition is to be controlled and maintained throughout the procedure. Reactive complications, such as pneumothorax, bleeding, hypoxemia, hypotension, arrhythmia, cardiac arrest and more can occur. The user needs to avoid complications or attend to upon occurrence.

Additional Gastrointestinal modules, offering 80 virtual patient cases are available on the same platform.
