Objective Performance Feedback

The VirtaMed HystSim™ provides highly realistic and useful training for hysteroscopic surgery, with high acceptance ratings for both experienced and novice surgeons (Bajka et al [1] ).
Debriefing reports provide objective performance assessment and optional expert-defined scores for the categories:

• Visualization depicts which parts of the uterine surface have been visualized
• Economy measures efficiency parameters such as the intervention time or length of the camera path
• Safety provides error metrics in case of wall collisions or perforations
• Fluid handling scores the ability to get a clear view with minimal fluid consumption.
• Images provide further learning aids, visualizing the instrument path and visualized uterine surface
• Movie allows to replay the complete intervention
