SAGES FES PROGRAM
The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) has selected Simbionix Online Education Group to develop web-based didactic material for the Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery (FES) Program. FES is a training and testing program for basic knowledge and skills in flexible GI endoscopy. It consists of web-based educational material, a written test of knowledge and a hands-on skills test.
The web-based educational material includes topics such as: Patient Preparation, Conscious Sedation, Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and GI Therapeutic Procedures. These materials are being developed in collaboration with SAGES and its medical consultants, who will supply all clinical images, clinical expertise, case and patient profiles, identification of pathologies, and all performance metrics.
