The PERC Mentor
library of modules currently contains 3 PCN modules for percutaneous
renal access:
- Module for PCN basic tasks
- Module with PCN procedures
on normal patients
- Module with PCN procedures
on obese patients
These 3 modules feature:
- The practice of renal access
for both urology and radiology specialists
- Opportunities to learn skills
for avoiding the puncture of internal organs
- Real-time fluoroscopic image
processing during procedures
- Visualization of renal access
needles in multiple planes
- The use of actual needles
and tools
- Access with tactile sensations
while moving through the various layers
- Actual ribs that you can feel
and may be hit during the puncture
- Variety of patients with anatomical
variations, different clinical scenarios and multiple parameters
that impinge upon surgical success
- Opportunities to create the
ideal access to the proper calyx through a variety of access sites
