Simbionix offers a set of two modules for Upper GI Endoscopy. Each module contains 10 virtual patients complete with case histories, biological test results and x-rays. The cases in both modules are arranged hierarchically from more simple diagnostic procedures to difficult cases involving therapeutic procedures in patients with major pathologies.

Practice on the cases provides trainees with the following opportunities:

• Performing a complete survey of the Upper GI tract with a forward viewing video-endoscope.
  
  
• Performing basic therapeutic procedures.
  
  
• Recognizing typical lesions
  
  
• Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in patients with major pathologies.
